March 29 – April 3, 2021, is National Cleaning Week. This week is dedicated to industry professionals and to celebrate the value of the cleaning standards while recognizing the ongoing efforts of frontline commercial cleaning professionals.
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the important work frontline commercial cleaning professionals do every day to keep our places of work, school, commerce, and worship safe, clean, and open.
Modern medicines like antibiotics, combined with effective cleaning practices have shielded humans from the risk of infectious disease that previously was a part of daily life. Before advances in antibiotics and cleaning / disinfection standards, dying from an infected cut was a daily reality. In the 21st Century, we live mostly free from the worry of possible infection because of advances in cleaning and medicine. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the risk every human face from infectious organisms.
